A U.S. Patent and Trademark Office tribunal turned down a slew of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. efforts to invalidate claims in reduced imaging technology patents, finding the claim language too broad for the required validity analysis.
Cellect LLC escaped Patent Trial Appeal Board challenges to its 6,982,742; 6,424,369; 6,043,839; and 6,275,255 patents on Tuesday, after the tribunal’s administrative law judges declined to institute inter partes reviews.
