Motorola Mobility LLC failed to convince the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to reconsider its decision upholding claims in a rival’s mobile wireless hotspot patent in a dispute that has gone all the way to the Federal Circuit and back.
The Patent and Trademark Office tribunal’s decision comes in a longstanding fight between the Lenovo Group Ltd. unit and Intellectual Ventures II LLC’s over the latter’s 7,382,771 patent.
