Apple introduced their first generation of AirPods Max featuring incredible high-fidelity audio, Adaptive EQ, Active Noise Cancellation, and spatial audio on December 8, 2020. Apple also introduced a soft, slim Smart Case that puts the headphones in an ultralow power state that helps preserve its battery charge. On Friday, Apple was granted 15 design patents from the Hong Kong Patent Office covering both AirPods Max and its Smart Case.
Unlike “patent applications” that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.
